Description of Le Grand Vallon Golf Course

One of the most challenging golf course in Eastern Canada. Only 30 minutes from Quebec City, Le Grand Vallon is a beautifully rolling 18-hole, par 72 course set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mont-Sainte-Anne. The course features 6,583 yards of impeccable fairways from the back tees, challenging tree-lined stretches, wide open mid-course sections, four lakes, and 40 pure white sand traps.

Le Grand Vallon recognizes environmental management among its highest priorities and this is why we are proud to be associated with the Audubon Society.

Course Design
Designed by the celebrated Howard Watson, one of the illustrious Stanley Thompson’s apprentices, Le Grand Vallon golf course opened its doors to the public during the summer of 1976. Watson is renowned for having designed many of Quebec’s most beautiful courses: his ingenuity and vision did not fail him when he conceived Le Grand Vallon. From the beginning, the course that lays at the foot of the majestic Mont-Sainte-Anne has enjoyed an enviable reputation throughout the east. Known during a certain period as the "minister’s club" because of the affluence of high level politicians that played there, Le Grand Vallon continues to distinguish itself as one of the province’s most breath-taking courses.

Rules of play:
The rules of play are those specified by the Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA). All players at Le Grand Vallon are also expected to respect etiquette and behaviour on the course.

Dress code:
Bermuda length tailored shorts (one hand above the knee) may be worn by male members and guests. Ladies may wear bermudas, skirts or full length pants. Shorts, jeans and collarless T-shirts are not permitted on the courses at any time.

Please note that all members and guests must wear soft spikes golf shoes on the course. Metal spikes are strictly forbidden. The Pro Shop provides a low cost replacement service.

In case of rain, except in the event where the course should be closed, you will receive a raincheck ticket .
